A True Estate Sale

Bonhams is auctioning off "selected items" from le Chateau de Villers-Helon, in Picardy, northern France. They call this "the property of a French dynasty," but I suppose the dynasty must have fallen on hard times. A few items:

 Bed, late 19th century.

Rouen faience platter, early 18th century.

Table, Italian, 19th century.

The Seine at Paris by Armand Guillaumin, 1874. I would love to know more about the story behind this sale.
